Movement Testing: In line Lunge or Not?

For a movement test to be relevant and specific, it should be able to clearly answer a question for you, and that answer should lead to an action plan. If you are using a lunge as a test, how well have you defined the question you want answered? “Does this person have pelvic control?” is way too vague. You need to be a  whole lot more targeted about it if you want to get to the bottom of a problem and make good exercise choices as a result of it.  If that surprises you, then take a look at the video – it aims to help you to think clearly about your movement test and to get much more detailed information out of it.
