JEMS® Functional Foundations for Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Practitioners: Dynamic Movement Principles for Work, Sport and Life Part 1
“I have used it daily with my clients – they love it!”
JEMS® Functional Foundations for Health, Fitness and Wellbeing (HFW) Professionals brings a new richness to your understanding of integrated, robust, dynamic movement. Open the door to a holistic and integrated approach to health and performance training.
Designed specifically for professionals in the health and fitness industry such as Pilates teachers, body workers and personal trainers, this course equips you with a greater understanding of natural movement in function and dysfunction, and how to unlock, enhance and optimise it in practical, easy-to-understand and immediately applicable ways.
Help your clients to find greater ease in their posture, more freedom in their movement and improved functional performance using JEMS’ unique approach to unlocking potential and facilitating movement performance with simple but powerful techniques.
Every client has a unique collection of movement habits and strategies, some of which are useful, and some of which are actually creating barriers to their health and performance. Learn to assess your clients using specific movement tests to achieve a deeper understanding of their needs, and make the links between their movement strategies and the functional requirements of their lives to engage with them in meaningful ways.
Extend your understanding of injury presentations, and learn to competently accommodate them as part of your programmes.
Expand your skills and confidence in verbal and tactile cueing, discovering fresh and enjoyable ways to help clients to connect with their bodies.
Learn to integrate multiple body systems effectively in order to stimulate balanced, elastic, enjoyable movement with self awareness and efficiency.
Above all, learn to empower your clients to experience moving beautifully, no matter what their age or physical aspirations.
Ready to take the next giant step into helping your clients to take the pressure off their bodies and uncover more effective, efficient, beautiful movement?
JEMS® Functional Foundations for Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Practitioners: Dynamic Movement Principles for Work, Sport and Life Part 2
In Part One, we introduced the key foundations for developing elastic, robust natural movement in people of all ages, and began to unlock our systems to create new pathways for managing and manipulating forces in the trunk and lower body.
In Part Two, we explode that knowledge into a new level, fine tuning your technique with new updates and progressing more deeply into integrating the body.
Content for Part Two will:
- Deepen your skills for unlocking the CLA to support easier posture and more fluent force transmission through the body
- Address more hip mobility influences on the CLA with simple solutions
- Make systematic progression simple and fun
- Progress CLA and truck control in a structured way using the force management categories of zone stacking, and diagonal, linear and spiral elastic techniques
- Introduce a new skill in movement analysis
- Wake up and coordinate the hips, knees and ankles
- Progress support, vertical force management and propulsion in the lower zone to promote effective, elastic and balanced functional movement
- Teach you to accurately cue movement impulse, for global coordination and timing
This is an action packed course that is mostly practical, and the teaching team will be supporting you in the customary JEMS® fashion to develop your tactile and verbal cues, your visual analysis skills, and your own body exploration. Whether you work in a studio, a clinic or a gym, there will be plenty for you to take away and use immediately with a wide range of people.
If you liked Part 1, you’re going to love expanding your possibilities with Part 2!
If Levels 1 and 2 blew your mind and stretched your professional wings, Level 3 is going to feed your drive for more amazing movement solutions….
JEMS® Functional Foundations for Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Practitioners: Dynamic Movement Principles for Work, Sport and Life Part 3
Day 1 will take you even further into the Lower Zone, exposing hidden barriers to better movement, and teaching you even more simple but transformative techniques to open up your clients’ understanding and connection to their hips, knees and feet.
Progress these on to understand “everyday agility”, the abilities that we all need whether it is handling ourselves in a crowded shopping mall or on the sports field. We will also be discussing how to deal with common lower limb injury complaints, by understanding the forces in play, and the body’s neuromuscular response to them.
Day 2 will be all things upper limb! We are going to bust some of the common instructions given in the fitness industry which actually increase risk of injury – you can guarantee that there will be things that you will never say again after this!
Learn how to identify the Functional Force Management® in the Upper Zone, and how to cue new solutions for more effective performance and reduced injury risk. Play with some fantastic new techniques to help people to find their rotator cuff and scapular stabilisers and understand how training specific awareness can trigger automatic muscle recruitment.
Then learn how to connect the upper zone by bringing together myofascial, biomechanics and neuromuscular concepts for fluent, beautiful full body movement.
Take your professional development to the next level and join us for Level 3!
